soo, finally we're in Los Angeles! we got on a train on friday after school (the train was 5 hours late) and we got here to LA today. we just relaxed in the hotel room mostly. our hotel is IN universal studios. then we went to "city walk", this row of stores (mostly movie stuff) near the hotel. tomarrow, we're taking a VIP tour of universal. we did the same tour 2 years ago, it was way cool and i can't wait to do it again! my dad's going to take the laptop away if i don't say... "DADDY'S THE GREATEST AND I LOVE HIM SO MUCH FOR BRINGING ME TO LA. HE IS SO SUAVE" uh hu... *mandy out* Current Mood: i'm gonna see the stars!! |

viva la via bohem
In honor of the death of Bohemia an impromptu salon will commence immediately following dinner ... Maureen Johnson, just back from her spectacular one-night engagement at the eleventh street lot, will perform Native American tribal chants backwards through her vocoder, while accompanying herself on the electric cello - which she ain't never studied. And Mark Cohen will preview his new documentary about his inability to hold an erection on the high holy days. And Mimi Marquez, clad only in bubble wrap, will perform her famous lawn chair-handcuff dance to the sounds of iced tea being stirred. And Roger will attempt to write a bittersweet, evocative song. That doesn't remind us of "Musetta's Waltz!" Angel Dumott Schunard will model the latest fall fashions from Paris while accompanying herself on the 10 gallon plastic pickle tub. And Collins will recount his exploits as anarchist - including the tale of the successful reprogramming of the M.I.T. virtual reality equipment to self-destruct, as it broadcasts the words "Actual reality - Act Up - Fight AIDS" |

“by the sacred earth on which I kneel, by the shades that wander near me, by the deep and eternal grief that I feel, I swear; and by thee, o night, and the spirits that preside over thee, to pursue the demon, who caused this misery, until he or I shall perish in mortal conflict. For this purpose I will preserve my file: to execute this dear revenge, will I again behold the sun, and tread the green herbage of earth, which otherwise should vanish from my eyes forever. And I call on you, spirits of the dead; and on you, wandering ministers of vengeance, to aid and conduct me in my work. Let the cursed and hellish monster drink deep agony; let him feel the despair that now torments me.” |

Feb: 1, 2006 Dear Parents, Students and staff: on tuesday, January 31, 2006, at approximately 2:55pm our campus SRO was notified by APD dispatch that there was a 911 call. the caller said that there was a BOMB in the building and that they were going to SHOOT UP the school. AISD polive arrived quickly with the "bomb dog". a sweep of the building was made and the threat was not substantiated. the owner of the cell phone was located and brought to the office for questioning by the police. the students were released at 3"40 pm to move to their seventh period class. The terroristic threat is under investigatoin. as always, the safety and security of our students and staff are always of the utmost importance. student and staff cooperation durning the lockdown was outstanding. if you have any concerns, please call me at 414-7505. attention all film makers: STOP PLEASE!! i just saw "underworld evolution" and um, well........ "hello" "hello" "how are you?" "fine you?" "i'm alright, listen i've been thinking of directing a vampire movie sequel, think i should go for it?" "depends, i'd hate for it to suck like every other movie about vampires that's come out lately, what are you planning to do to make it different from those?" "well, i thought i'd spend lots of money on effects and building really cool sets and write the script myself. i mean i've never done one before but how hard can it be?" "well..." "look, i was thinking about making it overly gory so that no one would notice that there was no plot. then i was gonna throw in this really random wearhouse sex scene. cool huh?" "well...i'm not sure if-...i don't think that-....ok, here's 30 million dollars." "hey thanks man!" ____mandy_out_____ |

myth-busters
TODAY ON "MYTHBUSTERS" MANDY TRAVELS INTO THE UNKNOWN TO BUST YET ANTOHER HOUSE-HOLD MYTH. ON TODAY'S SHOW: **IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO SPEND QUALLITY TIME WITH YOUR FATHER IN WHICH YOU BOTH HAVE FUN** mandy's conclusion: NOT TRUE while mandy was observing the nature of the earth this friday, her father gregg asked her if she wished to take an exploration to their ranch in west texas. mandy agreed. she didn't really want to leave the comforts of her home and journey to the land of roadkill, but she did it to keep her father company on his tedious trip. as they drove into the unknown they listened to show-tunes at mandy's request...both sang along to the songs they knew and made fun of the ones they didn't. when they reached the ranch they did...nothing. the entire time they sat around and watched the very illuminating "that 70's show" and learned about the strange habits of teenagers. therefore: it is possible to enjoy time with your father without completely torturing him. ~mandy out~ |
